I had the privilege of shooting some photographs for the New Bedford Fire Department as part of a documentary project for school. These are some of my personal favorite shots that I got. Although these all don’t reveal faces or stick to a particular theme other than documentation of the days I worked along side the department, for me they are moments captured. I really had a great time shooting and riding along with the department and couldn’t be more thankful to everyone who had a part in making this possible, especially Chief Michael Gomes for granting me permission for this project.
Creating a documentary means visually telling a story with photographs that do not have intervention by the artist to create the frame. Working around that I tried to incorporate my style of shooting & editing to create a mood throughout this series of images.
